Community Rail Officer – North Downs Line

Part Time, 21 hours per week
£20,821.95 per annum (pro rata salary of £12,493.20)

Contract runs until 31st March 2018, with potential for extension. To start as soon as possible.

A motivated and competent person is required for this interesting, challenging and exciting role.

Sussex Community Rail Partnership works to connect the community with its railway, enhance railway station environments and promote sustainable transport.

The Community Rail Officer will set up a new Community Rail Partnership for the railway stations between Guildford and Reigate, and the train service between Reading and Gatwick. You will be responsible for all aspects of developing and taking forward local station partnerships. You will work with Steering Group partners to develop projects and engage the local community, gain funding for projects, and handle marketing and communications.

We require a self-motivated person with excellent management and communication skills, a proven track record in a small complex organisation with geographically dispersed staff and partners, experience of community engagement, grant applications and public transport.

Some evening and weekend work will be required. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
