Within easy reach of the railway and bus stations, Chichester Ship Canal runs four miles from the canal basin in the city to Chichester Harbour at Birdham. Take a boat trip, hire a rowing boat, visit the shop and cafe, or take a stroll down the towpath. Canal boat trips run four times a day.

Amberley, Arundel and Pulborough stations offer unparalleled access to walks and bike rides, wildlife and heritage.

Situated in Chichester City Centre, the Novium Museum is built over the remains of a Roman bath house. The award-winning family friendly museum showcases the past 500,000 years of local history and is also home to Chichester's Tourist information Centre.

Splash land on the Log Flume or try favourites like the Dodgems and Ocean Coaster. Rides for younger children include a Giant Slide and Mini Car Circuit. Indoors offers soft play area and arcade games.

Haysden Country Park near Tonbridge offers 65 hectares of beautiful countryside and a relaxing setting for leisure activities. With two lakes and a stretch of the River Medway, the park is a popular venue for water activities and a great location for a family day out. Regional Cycle Route 12 passes through the Park stretching from Penshurst Place to Tonbridge Castle.

Reigate is well known for its 'caves', largely old sand mines. The castle mound overlooking Reigate town centre is composed of soft sandstone and has been mined over several centuries. The castle has long gone but the mound and many excavations still remain. Tours include the Barons' Cave in the Castle Grounds and the Caverns in Tunnel Road.
