Visitors arriving at Amberley station will now have not one, but two, information boards to look at before setting off for their preferred leisure pursuits.

On the platform arriving from London, the board on the right hand side as visitors alight hosts information about the Heritage Centre and Museum, – this has been on display since July.

On the left hand side, an identical frame now houses a board created by the South Downs National Park Authority, with help and input from the parish council, the Heritage Centre, and Sussex CRP.  As well as a detailed map, showing the footpaths and bridleways in the Amberley area, there is a ‘Ride and Stride’ flag, which shows people how far it is to walk or cycle to a neighbouring station.

South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) is now in discussion with Southern Rail about more maps and information to be produced at other stations within the National Park.  Sussex CRP is pleased to be a partner in this worthwhile project.
