The whole station is being treated to a make-over thanks to the Passenger Benefit Fund.
The station is being decorated both inside and out. The platform buildings and ironwork have been painted in true heritage colours which match the style of our station partners the Spa Valley Railway’s colour way. The ticket hall, top waiting room and toilets are being given a smart refresh. Plus works refurbishing the disused platform waiting room continue at a pace. This will provide a warm, waiting room on the platform, in keeping with the station’s proud heritage.
Other more practical, less noticeable improvements have also been made; the platform has been resurfaced with a new safety strip fitted along the edges.
