As part of our community engagement to develop ideas for a creative mural in the underpass near North Camp Station, we held two free drop-in art workshops in Aldershot at the West End Centre and at North Camp Station. We had lots of enthusiasm and ideas for the mural project, from local people including young people and families, which were then displayed as part of an exhibition at the West End Centre. The artworks will be used by a commissioned artist to create the mural design.
Thanks to the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust, Karina at the West End Centre and to volunteers from Friends of North Camp Station for their help at both events. We worked with eco-artist Gemma Driskell who encouraged some lovely drawings and prints of animals and plants.
