Buxted station welcomed members of the local community and several GTR staff members who had participated in a recent project to a bit of Christmas cheer by serving coffee and minced pies.
GTR gave permission for the eye-catching display within the ticket hall. A collection of photographs all made available by local residents that celebrate their village. A wide variety of images were used to create a bright, colourful collage – People, Places, Past and Present – images from the Victorian era through to the present day.
The project was funded by a grant from Buxted Parish Council, we thank them for their support.
We were also able to display for the first time, a newly designed, easy to read, local connective bus timetable provided by Community Transport Lewis. A service that connects Buxted to both Uckfield and several of the outlying villages.
