Brighton & Hove City Council is launching the programme for Car Free Day 2022.
The campaign involves an exciting, week-long offer of events, activities and prizes, which aim to encourage and incentivise people to switch to sustainable and more active modes of travel for their journeys around the city.
Events include an exhibition of eCargo bikes, free Dr Bike sessions for repairs and advice, and a biodiversity health walk.
Car Free Day takes place on Thursday 22 September and the local theme of this year’s campaign is ‘A Better Connected City’. It celebrates the aim to improve travel for everyone by connecting people with their communities and each other in a way that is inclusive, accessible and sustainable.
