The gallery display in the ticket hall at Hurst Green station has been renewed with a new and exciting watercolour exhibition courtesy of local artist Pauline Merritt. The exhibition space is managed by our station partners Creative Community.
Creative Community is an arts and gardening initiative based in Hurst Green. They work to encourage local groups and individuals to come together to learn and share creative skills and work on creative and gardening activity. The displays at the station have included works by local schools, photography club, art groups and individuals in a variety of media. Other projects managed by the group include planting on and around the station and taking an unused, neglected piece of land by the local community centre and with the help of local residents turning it into a community garden.
