Enjoyed a fantastic day at Waterloo Station on 28th November, where South Western Railway marked the start of the full roll-out of their transformational new Arterio trains across the network.
There were speeches from special guests including the Minister of State for Rail, The Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill CBE and Stuart Broad CBE, former English cricketer. We were invited to tour one of the new ten-car trains that carry over 50% more passengers than the trains they replace. Additional improvements include real-time information boards, wider and faster opening doors, as well as walk through carriages.
Activities continued throughout the day on the concourse and Orchestra Pit with art projects, live music and a choir.
