On Tuesday evening, the 7 May. The 9th Hastings Scouts attended the station at Warrior Square. This was the first meeting for them on their way to the “platform for change” badge. The SCRP introduced them to members from “Transition Town”, the gardening partners at the station and “Tidy up St Leonards” group who do exactly what it says on the tin.
After a safety brief, the scouts split into smaller groups, with each spending time on both the garden and the litter picking. Some strong connections were made for future partnerships. The next session will include journey planning and a trip on the train.
