Accreditation is formal recognition by the Department for Transport that Southeast Community Rail Partnership operates to a high standard and that its objectives and activities are supported by Government. Accreditation provides assurance to others, including potential funders and partners that the community rail partnership adopts a collaborative approach and is worthy of the trust from others. This recognition gains us access to the Community Rail Development Fund which allowed us to contribute significant funds to projects such as Bishopstone, Battle, Lost Railways, Reg’s Garden and many more. Hopefully the community hub at Crowborough will benefit soon too. It takes a team effort to provide the evidence required to gain this quality mark. My thanks to Line Officers and Education team, our volunteer Directors, Line Chairs and Vice Chairs and our many volunteers. Here’s to many more successful projects to come.
