SCRP seeks a motivated and competent person for this interesting and varied role, working with schools to promote safe, independent, sustainable travel by rail.
This post will build on the existing Go Learn programme to promote safe, independent, sustainable travel by rail to pupils transitioning between primary and secondary mainstream schools as well as special schools. The programme delivers school sessions, station visits and train trips to over 1,000 children every year. You will have the opportunity to develop the role further with young people with special needs. Building relationships with partners and devising creative, targeted ways of engaging young people is central to delivering the programme. You will keep accurate records of outcomes, survey users and devise case studies to demonstrate how the project is delivered.
You will be a vital part of SCRP’s team, advising colleagues on projects involving young people, contributing to SCRP’s marketing and social media presence, and promoting the Go Learn programme to stakeholders.
We require a self-motivated person with a proven track record in teaching and inspiring young people, excellent project management and communication skills, experience of working with diverse partners, and an interest in sustainable transport.
In return, we offer a flexible working environment, a duty train travel pass, a small but dedicated team atmosphere and generous holiday allowance. As the post works across East and West Sussex, you could be based at one of our offices at Lewes, Pulborough, or Hove Railway Station, and home working is possible. Some evening and weekend work may be required and we are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
Closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 1st June and interviews will be held on Wednesday 13th June 2018 at Lewes.
We only accept applications on our company application form. CVs are not accepted. For more information and to request an application pack please contact recruitment@sussexcrp.org or click on the following links:
