Would you like to work for Sussex CRP as a Fundraising and Finance Officer?
A motivated and competent person is required for this interesting, varied and challenging role. The post is full time (35 hours pw) at a salary of £21,ooo pa (TBC), based at Lewes. It is for one year with potential for extension.
SCRP works to connect communities with their railways and to promote sustainable, accessible travel. We work along six railway lines in Sussex, Kent and Surrey with a wide range of partners, as well as running independent travel training programmes for primary schools and special needs groups.
The Fundraising and Finance officer will assist the senior leadership with identifying fundraising priorities and researching fundraising opportunities for major projects and to provide the company with a sustainable income stream. You will assist the Manager to approach trusts, grant-giving bodies and foundations, and to apply for grants and sponsorship consistent with our values and needs.
Following a period of growth, you will get our financial procedures on a sound footing, assisting the Finance Director to set up new accounting software. You will be confident in tackling all bookkeeping tasks for a small company to preparing management and statutory accounts.
You will be a vital part of the team, taking charge of central administration and assisting team members with projects from time to time.
We require a self-motivated person with excellent project management and communication skills, experience of using accounting packages, and experience of researching and writing fundraising proposals.
