On Wednesday 15th May we held the second planned “try a train trip” to Battle with adults supported by Aspens.
Starting at Hastings we gathered to purchase our tickets, understand the departure boards and network maps before heading off on the Southeastern service to Battle. Upon arrival we spent some time in the new community space at the station looking at planning apps and playing a game, working the ticket machine and information points.
A whistle stop visit to the Abbey before returning to Hastings and getting a private look into a drivers cab.
A participant said that they “had a great day and learnt a lot about using the trains and would like to do it again”.
