Last week saw the new installation of the temporary exhibit at Warrior Square Station in relation to the St Leonards “A town explores a book” project. This year the team explored the scientific paper by Gideon Mantell naming the Iguanodon species. The paper was presented to the Royal Society in 1825.
The discovery was based on fossilised teeth found by Mary Ann Mantell who illustrated them.
As well as discussing the discovery of the dinosaur at numerous school events the installation asks the public to recall unusual discoveries they may have made and record them for all to see.
The station was visited by the local National Lottery Commissioners who take great pleasure in exploring the offering.
