We are delighted to have published our 2025-2026 annual review, which details the impact of our work has.

This year alone we have created over £679K in social value, with more than 34,800 volunteer hours. Raising £124,000 in grants to station partners and for projects in the year to 31 March 2026 plus a further £33,000 in donations.

Tim Barkley, Southeast Communities Rail Partnership Chair said, “With greater focus than ever on social value we are delighted to be able to show some genuinely impressive numbers in this year’s review.

“In the review you can read case studies about our work with young people, cultural organisations, community garden groups and a host of other partners. For example, educational workshops, which develop children’s skills in independent travel, saw 2679 pupils attend. These show in real world terms the value of the Community Rail Partnership and demonstrate the superb results that working together with local communities can bring.

“2025 marked 200 years of the modern railway, and our review also details our contribution to Railway 200.”

Southeast Communities Rail Partnership has ten Community Rail lines across East and West Sussex as well as parts of South West London, Surrey, Kent and Berkshire. It works with five train operators, Network Rail, local authorities, community representatives and dedicated volunteers at 130 stations on its lines.
