Southern London Victoria services from Monday 10 January 2022
I am writing to update you that weekday Southern services at London Victoria, Battersea Park, Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common stations will start to be introduced from Monday 10 January 2021.
As you will know from our previous update, we are currently running a reduced weekday timetable across Southern, Great Northern and Thameslink. This is in response to a high level of absence among critical railway staff following the increase in coronavirus cases.
The services to and from London Victoria are additional to the current timetable, providing eight direct Southern trains per hour to London Victoria and connections to existing services at East Croydon, Streatham Common, Balham, Mitcham Junction, Sutton and Epsom.
The existing timetable will continue to run, meaning that services that are currently on diversion, such as to London Bridge, will remain on diversion for now. This is detailed in the briefing below and is designed to ensure that services are reliable for customers. Ticket acceptance remains in place with our partners at TfL and Southeastern to provide as many options as possible.
We know some customers have longer journeys as a result of these changes and we are very sorry. We are working to introduce more services in subsequent weeks and will keep you updated.
Timetables will be available on our websites today and we are expecting journey planners such as www.nationalrail.co.uk to be updated no later than Friday 7 January 2022.
