1. ‘Treasure Hunt Competition’ is promoted by Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC (Registered No. 6731176) of Lewes Railway Station, Station Road, Lewes, BN7 2UP.
2.1 Participants of the competition are asked to submit their answers to the Treasure Hunt via our website www.southeastcrp.org/TreasureHunt. Participants aged under 18 years of age must have parental approval before submitting their entry. By sending a competition entry you have given us permission to use it. Please complete the tie-breaker question which will be used to decide the winner in the event of tied entries.
2.2 There will be 1 prize winner. Prize details can be found on www.southeastcrp.org/TreasureHunt
3.1 The competition will run from 23/07/22 until 04/09/22 11.59 p.m. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
3.2 No entry fee is required however, you are responsible for the cost (if any) of submitting your competition entry.
3.3 By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4.1 The competition is open to individuals aged 7+ including adults (there is no upper age limit), except:
(a) employees of community rail partnerships;
(b) individuals who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize should you win. We may require you to provide proof that of eligibility.
4.3 We will not accept competition entries:
(a) that have been automatically generated by computer;
(b) that have been completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) that are illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(e) that are incomplete;
(f) that have been filmed on location outside of your home, garden or school/group (if you are attending school) during ‘Covid-19 Lockdown’.
(g) that are not suitable to show to young people in school (e.g., too graphic).
4.4 We reserve all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition e.g. is has been filmed on location outside of your home, garden or school/group during ‘Covid-19 Lockdown’ or does not comply with government lockdown guidelines at the time of filming.
5.1 Prize winners will be decided by a panel of judges from all the valid competition entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5.2 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prizes. Prizes are not negotiable other than set out in the terms above or transferable.
5.3 We will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the closing date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in clause 1. A list of names of the judges can be requested via email at info@southeastcrp.org with the wording “Treasure Hunt Competition” in the subject line, from the closing date for a period of 30 days.
6.1 The winners of the Competition will be announced on Friday 30th September 2022.
6.2 The decision of the judges nominated by us is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.3 We will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the announcement date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. We will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted. The prize voucher will be sent by post to the winner.
6.4 We will send the name and county of the winner to anyone who writes within one month after the closing date of the competition requesting details of the winners and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in clause 1.
7.1 We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 7 days from the announcement date to claim the prize by responding to the email or phone call made by us after the announcement date. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid. We reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received before the closing date.
7.2 We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
8. Insofar as is permitted by law, Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, or personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where the personal injury or death is caused by the negligence of Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9.1 If you are the prize winner you agree that Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC and other rail industry stakeholders may use your name, image, town/county of residence and your entry to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
9.2 By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used only by Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
9.3 By entering the competition, the usage rights of the entries submitted become the property of Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC and maybe used in other promotional or educational materials both online and in print by Southeast Communities Rail Partnership CIC and other rail industry stakeholders.
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and
conditions, we may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 We reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 Any product or other items displayed, or promotional material is purely incidental to the purpose of this competition. We accept no liability for use of such material nor warrant its quality or suitability.
10.4 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
