Final preparations are being made for the start of The Tide Mills Project which is described as “a creative heritage project for everyone”.
LYT Productions have commissioned artists, sculptors and designers to work with the local community in creating a special celebration of Tide Mills.
The team have been busy over the last few days getting everything ready to welcome visitors.
The free event takes place nightly between 5pm and 10pm from Wednesday 22 September to Sunday 26 September.
One of the themes of the event is environmentality with a focus on pollution and renewable energy. With that in mind, the organisers are encouraging alternative forms of transport to cars. It is an ideal opportunity to travel by train to the venue.
Tide Mills is a short – and scenic – walk from Bishopstone railway station and a slightly longer walk from Newhaven Town/Newhaven Harbour stations.
