The news this week that the plans to close many ticket offices have been shelved shows how important it is to give communities a say in their local train services. The response to the consultation was greater than expected, showing that local communities are heavily invested in having access to good public transport that is safe and accessible to all. We all have a role in helping these aspirations to be met.
