Reigate station hosted an event on 27 July to celebrate the most recent community engagement projects at this charming little station which is at the centre of the community in Reigate:

A photographic artwork display entitled ‘journeys’ has been installed within the station.  Photography students from Reigate School of Art submitted their work which now takes pride of place in the stations own dedicated art gallery.

Two local groups; Growing Redhill and Loveworks have taken on the task of caring for the platform planters which now house a display of beautiful sustainable plants.

GTR had recently completed an accessibility project at the station, enabling the ticket hall to become accessible to all.

The event was supported by the local Mayor and Mayoress, Reigate School of Art, Community groups; Growing Redhill and Loveworks, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, representatives from the local community, members of the Redhill, Reigate and Tonbridge CRP steering group, GTR, and Southeast Community Rail Partnership.
