A new exhibition telling the story of railways in Rye has opened at the town’s heritage centre.
The displays outline the history of the coming of the railways in the 1850s and the development of lines. There are also exhibits and panels telling the wider story of the railways to mark 200 years of the modern railways.
There’s even a model train, with a Southern locomotive, running round the top of the display. Well worth a visit.
The exhibition is free to visit and runs until the end of September at least.
