Want to improve your local station and the surrounding area?

Then come along to a free event for sharing good practice on station gardening and improvements by local people for local people.

Saturday 3 February 10:00-12:00

At Redhill Methodist Church, Gloucester Road, RH1 1BP

The venue is nearby to Redhill Station and bus station. Parking is available in Gloucester Road car park or The Belfry car park.

Lunch provided. Please let us know of your dietary and access requirements.

A number of local groups have received GTR ‘Your Station, Your Community’ Improvement Fund and are working on improvements and others are looking to start doing something about their station.

Growing Redhill has ‘Your Station’ funding for improvements at Merstham Station, where we have been working for over a decade, and recently taken on gardening at Reigate Station. In our grant application, we factored in costs of an event so that station partners in the vicinity may feel connected.

You might want to come along and learn, or else share your good practice, which may include:

• Getting started – forming a station partnership.
• Station planting – right container, right soil, right plants.
• Commissioning arts and construction – station murals, writing briefs.
• Publicising and promoting your project.
• Measuring impact.

Please let us know what you want to know and what you could share on the day admin@growingredhill.co.uk

This is an invited event for groups improving stations served by Great Northern, Southern or Thameslink on the GTR network. If you know of anyone who may want to attend, please let us know or pass on the invitation.

Please let Karen know if you are coming to admin@growingredhill.co.uk

We look forward to seeing you there.
