The Sussex Community Rail Partnership is growing interest in Bexhill station.
During 2017, members of Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance have been working hard to develop the allotment for people with dementia and their carers. Bexhill Division Guides and Brownies have been supporting this group, growing flowers and vegetables, watering and weeding. At the end of the summer they spent the afternoon with Louise Kenward, local photographer and artist, drawing and taking photographs of their favourite bits of the allotment so that they could be put on display on platforms one and two at Bexhill station.
Kevin Barry, the Community Rail Development Officer for the Marshlink line said ” Louise has done a number of projects with involvement in the community and works closely with Susses Community Rail Partnership and Southern. This project brought together two groups which have benefitted by working together, and the results are there for all local travellers to see”
