Last night we applied for a grant from Uckfield Town Council to purchase a community interest notice board for Uckfield Station, just found out from Facebook that we were successful. They board will be shared by local community interest groups to publicise themselves, their events, to make appeals and generally let the community know what they are doing and why. The local branch of the Lions Club has volunteered handle the administration of this project. The station serves many thousands of people each year so it is hoped that this opportunity will help these valuable groups raise their profile within the local community.
