Kempton Steam Museum

Home to the world’s largest working triple-expansion steam engine, one of a pair used to pump vast volumes of London’s drinking water from 1929 to 1980. These engines stand as high as four stacked double-decker buses.

Walking Information

Feltham Green (War Memorial and pond) – is right on the High Street, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the first and second world wars. It overlooks a small green space and pond.

Mo Farah memorial – The Olympic gold medallist grew up in Feltham and trained at the Feltham Arena before hitting the world stage. With four Olympic gold medals to his name, his mural is inspiration to the next generation of sporting heroes.

Hanworth park – Once a royal hunting park for Henry VII, it is now home to a playground, cricket, rugby and football pitches. At 67 hectares in size, large parts of it are also comprised of sprawling grassland. The park is open from 8am to dusk every day.

Bridge House Pond Heritage Garden – A small heritage garden located a short distance from the station. It includes a Victorian duck pond that was created when the railway was built in 1849 and was recently restored by a local group in 2015.
