There’s a new exhibition at Crawley museum, all collated and installed by Arun Valley line partner, Brenda Burgess.  It will be on display for one month from 8th August, to commemorate Rail200.

The exhibition features memorabilia, photographs and information about the advent of the railway, from 1825, and also some model rail carriages, which are bound to be of interest to young visitors to the museum.

Rowena Tyler, SCRP Community Development Officer for the Arun Valley Line, visited the museum to offer a pop-up banner, showing the names of ten people who have had an influence on the Arun Valley Line.  Their names are displayed in blue plaque style roundels, and range from Dame Caroline Haslett (1895 – 1957) to Barry Morton, who is still living and providing support to the Crawley Signal Box Preservation Society.
