The Windsor to Reading Community Rail Partnership celebrated in style on 1st December 2025 at Windsor & Eton Riverside Station.
Children from Our Lady of the Rosary School enjoyed a short train ride and celebrated Christmas at Windsor & Eton Riverside Station on 1st Dec 2025. It was a special 166th birthday for the station and our last Railway 200 event for this year. Refreshments were supplied by Optalis Ability Catering and music provided by vocalist Sarah Martin who had us all dancing. The Windsor Soundswell Choir sang the carols beautifully.
The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, Councillor Mandy Brar, welcomed the children and said “It is wonderful to see South Western Railway and the community rail partnership coming together to host this very special event. The children made decorations for the tree and enjoyed marshmallow hot chocolate and festive treats. The music was delightful and made it a very memorable occasion. The Royal Borough has so much to offer and we hope more people will arrive at this beautiful station to explore the local attractions.”
