Sir Robert Watson-Watt Blue Plaque

Widely known as the ‘father of radar’, he led a team of researchers in the 1930s to develop the aircraft detection technology that would later prove crucial to the Allied victory in the Battle of Britain. He lived here from the late 1930s until the late 1940s.
