A new programme of exciting events and interesting activities has just been released by Amberley Museum, one of our station partners on the Arun Valley Line.
Spanning the whole of the museum’s 2018 season, the programme includes old favourites such as vintage and classic car shows, our rail gala, traditional craft fair and beer festival, as well as a great selection of brand new events.
The season kicks off with open days 12th to 18th February for half term. On Wednesday 14th accompanied children can come and enjoy the museum Explorer Day all about chalk, and on Friday 16th toddlers can enjoy Mr Pepper’s Little Learners morning with large scale messy painting, playing and learning with chalk.
The museum’s first Star Gazing event is on Saturday 17th February, when you can go into the Museum in the evening between 4pm and 7pm and learn about the night sky, in conjunction with the South Downs National Park Dark Skies Festival. The Park has recently become the world’s newest International Dark Sky Reserve, one of only twelve in the world, and the Museum lies in one of the darkest areas of the Park.
