Wealden MP Nus Ghani visited Crowborough station to hear about the exciting plans to turn the unused part of the building into a multi-use community hub. Nus met the project lead Bev Pashley, GTR’s Rob Whitehead and Community Rail Officer, Sharon Gray. Kindly offering their support to the project also in attendance were Wealden Councils Chris Bending, Director of Planning, Policy and Environmental Services and Helen Markwick, Economic Development & Wellbeing Manager.
The group were able to see the project in its current state and hear all the exciting plans for the renovation. It is hoped that the space will become the heart of the local community and will provide services and facilities for young and old alike.
