You may have noticed we posted about the new custom made planters that have been installed at Buxted station, the group responsible have sent us some further information so if you are looking for a hobby why not get in touch?
“We are hoping to open again on the 12th April when we can finish off the planters commissioned for Rye and Ham Street stations.
Men’s Sheds (or Sheds) are similar to garden sheds – a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. The difference is that garden sheds and their activities are often solitary in nature while Men’s Sheds are the opposite. They’re about social connections and friendship building, avoiding isolation, improving mental health, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter. Anyone retired, unemployed, bored or just struggling are welcome. We are planning to re-open safely in the week beginning April 12th. For further details contact Chris either by email or phone.”
