The organisers of the Walk the Chalk celebrations which took place at Seaford last year have announced dates for the screening of a documentary about the event.
The team behind the project say: “The documentary follows our art heritage project from inception to creation to delivery of a wild and wind-swept celebration week on Seaford Head where 15,000 attended at the end of September last year. This film focuses on the young team from LYT Productions (who delivered the outstanding Tide Mills Project in 2021) and their total dedication and determination to install six huge art installations on the King Charles III England Coast Path to celebrate the opening of the whole path around England, wrestling with Storm Betty and the havoc it reaped.
“The local community truly became involved with this project with over 250 volunteers working on the project, all taking place under the iconic backdrop of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs. This was a week not to be missed and never forgotten. Come and celebrate how this inspiring community project was put together and see footage from Seaford Head never screened before.”
The documentary will be shown at The Depot in Lewes on Saturday 13 April and Sunday 14 April at 11am. Tickets: £7/£5. There will be a further showing at Seaford Community Cinema, Barn Theatre, Seaford on Saturday 27 April at 6.30pm. Tickets: £5/£3.
