Things to do

On leaving Arundel railway station, turn right instead of going straight ahead to the busy main road, – you’ll be in for a treat to make you smile.

The Green Team, station partners at Arundel continue to enhance the station frontage in many ways.  A recent project saw the installation of art mosaics, installed to cover up drab grey concrete slabs.

Each mosaic incorporates clay petals and leaves made by pupils  from both primary schools, the mosaics were created by volunteers with materials funded through local business sponsorship.

Furthermore, thanks to funding from the Royal Horticultural Society and GTR,  Greening  Arundel has installed four solar lights along the station path, which can be reached by walking through the underpass, with its attractive Arundel mural.

The volunteer group hope this initiative will improve safety and accessibility and encourage more use of the path, which is the safest way to approach the town on foot, from the station.
