Bee-friendly installations have been put up at Newhaven Harbour station.
Volunteers with the Bee Friendly Trust placed a specially repurposed bee hive on the area of land beside Platform 2.
The hive is a haven for bees and bugs and it has low maintenance planting on top.
The group also placed a series of story boards along the wall with images from the pages from The Little Book of Pollinators by Dr Luke Dixon from the Bee Friendly Trust.
In addition, a series of sculptures with holes for bees were placed in a wildlife area by the platform.
The Bee Friendly Trust developed the project with support from the Southeast Communities Rail Partnership which helped with paperwork and documentation as well as encouraging the group to bid for funding from Govia Thameslink Railway’s Passenger Benefit Fund.
The trust has previously worked with the community rail partnership on the colourful display on the footbridge at Falmer station.
