Things to do

Members of the Community Rail Network board have been on our patch for a two-day meeting.

The group based themselves in Lewes and travelled on the Sussex Downs Line to Bishopstone. They were greeted by members of the Friends of Bishopstone Station who have restored the Old Parcel Room into a community hub.

FoBS chair Barbara Mine gave a brief history of the work which the volunteers have carried out to bring the redundant building back to life. FoBS vice-chair Jim Stanford then gave the group a tour of the station including its history.

CRN board members then had a private meeting at the community hub before travelling back to Lewes for an update on Southeast CRP’s activities.
