Community Rail Week brings activities and partners together
Along the Sussex Coast and Arun Valley Lines, which covers Hove to Gatwick Airport, many station adopters, partner organisations and station staff used Community Rail week to showcase their work, or embark on joint projects.
A few of the activities underway are pictured here, including gardening, installing knitted flowers, cleaning and preparing a station area for art displays, and a walk in the beautiful Spring weather, after a train trip.
SCRP Community Development Officer, Rowena Tyler said “Thanks to everyone who made this year’s Community Rail week, with its emphasis on local activities such a success.”
The photographs are just a small selection of all the fantastic work along the lines, and feature:
- Aldingbourne Trust Planting and Watering team;
- Arundel Town Council Greening Group volunteers (and Scout the dog);
