The South Downs National Park Authority is encouraging businesses to apply for free cycle parking, including up to six cycle stands worth £500.
It wants visitors to leave their cars at home and get on their bikes to explore the scenery and hidden gems of the South Downs.
Attractions, accommodation providers, small businesses and retailers can all apply to the scheme. South Downs National Park Authority says it applies to cafés, pubs, parish and town councils, local community groups and charities.
In return for the free cycle stands, applicants pay for and co-ordinate the installation.
Applicants must be the landowner or have permission from the owner of the land on which the stands will be installed.
Full details of how to apply and guidance on installing cycle parking are available on SDNPA’s website here.
