As part of Horsham District’s Year of Culture celebrations, 6 pianos have been decorated and placed at various points across the district.
Horsham Railway Station is pleased to be part of this exciting event, housing a fabulous piano, decorated by QEII Silver Jubilee School pupils, and local artist, Annalees Lim. The theme, chosen by the pupils is based on the book ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ by Giles Andrae and David Wojtowycz.
The piano is in the bookings hall, meaning anyone can come and have a go, whether they are a train passenger or just passing by.
On Friday, 16th August between 16.00 and 19.00 (4pm and 7pm), a trio of musical minstrels will be at the station, accompanying members of the public at the piano, and collecting for Chestnut Tree Hospice.
Why don’t you come along, and join the fun, before visiting the other five pianos in the district? For more information about the piano trail, or HDC Year of Culture, visit https://www.hdculture2019.co.uk/
