Funds available to help volunteer litter pickers during clean-up weekend
Funds are available to help volunteer litter pickers taking part in the Great British Spring Clean in Wealden during the weekend of March 2-4.
Litter picking equipment, refuse bags, and waste collection services, are being made available to groups, by Wealden Council, that register and add their event on the official Great British Spring Clean website.
The offer comes as Wealden itself has been criticised for the build up of litter revealed on roads around Uckfield after grass cutting.
We have two groups from the ‘Brighter’ movement who have joined us as station partners at both Uckfield and Crowborough (pictured). They both do a fantastic job looking after their local stations.
