The art display at Uckfield station has been updated by members of Bridge Arts who want to promote the work of local artists in the town and to give an advance preview of their forthcoming exhibition. The station exhibition features work from 16 of the Bridge Arts artists using a variety of media.
Bridge Arts Summer Arts and Crafts Fair 2018
This event will be held on June 15th and 16th 2018 at the Civic Centre in
Uckfield, Sussex for further details please see their website Bridge-Arts.org
Coming in August to the station the winners of the Bridge Arts Children’s Art Competition.
This year’s Bridge Arts Children’s competition has once again proved to be
a very popular event with our younger generation. We have received over
450 entries, with many children creating their mini masterpieces at our
recent workshop on Uckfield High Street.
The theme this year was “I wish..” so you can expect to see an eclectic and
fantastical mix of ideas when the artworks are displayed at the Summer Arts
and Crafts Fair (at the Civic Centre) in June. The prize-giving will take
place on the Saturday at 11am and is also expected to pull a large crowd.
The overall winner will see their art on the July front cover of Uckfield
Matters magazine, our media sponsor.
We also hope to display the creations of all our category winners at another
exciting event later in the Summer…watch this space for more information.
