Over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday, as well as keeping the railway service running for workers and revellers travelling in and out of Littlehampton, staff based at the station also volunteered to hold a sale and raffle, raising over £300 for Rockinghorse children’s charity, which helps to provide life-saving equipment, specialist projects and enhance services for sick babies, children and young people throughout Sussex.

Tables were set up inside the station, with tables manned by volunteers sporting Rockinghorse tee-shirts.

Anne Shippam, based at Littlehampton station, said:  “The cake sale was a great success, and we were pleased to raise £310 for the charity.  Thanks for the bunting, posters and stickers, which helped brighten the station.”
