The BrickWorks! Adventure at Bluebell Railway
22 – 31 October 2021
Come to the Bluebell Railway for a BrickWorks! Adventure this October half term!
Take a trip through the history of space travel with amazing recreations of iconic moments from outer space.
Visitors won’t believe their eyes as they moonwalk around SteamWorks! in the locomotive shed at Sheffield Park station and marvel at 15 amazing BRICKLIVE Outer Space models on display.
The unique models are all hand built using hundreds of bricks. The show features a 310cm high Apollo 11 Saturn V rocket made with 68,583 bricks!
Ruth Rowatt, Bluebell Railway’s Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “The fantastic setting of our locomotive shed will enhance the science, technology, engineering and maths theme of this family event. Children can learn in a fun and exciting way.”
The Outer Space show provides facts around real-life space travel and is a fun learning experience. With make and takes, a brick graffiti wall, and other hands-on activities to get involved in, it’s a great family day out.
Meet the Experts!
Visitors can meet a BRICKLIVE builder in SteamWorks! at Sheffield Park on Saturday 23 October and learn how the Outer Space models were made. There will be drop-in tours, talks and Q and A sessions happening hourly throughout the day.
Plus, visit Horsted Keynes station on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 to see displays by Brickish, Adult Fans of LEGO®
Brickish was founded in 2002 and is the only UK-wide community of Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs). They are a lively, friendly community of fans from across the whole of the UK, and their members are interested in all aspects of LEGO® – from its history and collecting, to building and displaying.
Entry to the event is free with an All-Day Rover or family ticket to travel on the Bluebell Railway on the selected event dates. Event-only tickets are also available.
