Try a GWR train with Optalis and SCRP
SCRP have partnered with Optalis, a supported employment group, to open up more opportunities for people to travel by train. So far 101 people with disabilities with disabilities and additional needs have discovered the freedom and greater independence that travel by a GWR train can offer.
A special event was held to celebrate the success of the programme. Refreshments were provided by Ability Catering, giving the team the chance to develop workplace skills. Able Arts created a remarkable piece of art to record their adventures by train. The Supported Employment Team announced their intention to Adopt Maidenhead Station, creating lasting connections to the community the station serves. A short film was made of our celebration.
