Details have been released of the procession route and carriages to be used during the Coronation of King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen Consort.

As part of our series looking at Community Rail Coronation Connections, we are focusing on the Uckfield and East Grinstead to Oxted rail line which includes Edenbridge Town station.

It is one of the stations closest to Hever Castle which is where Anne Boleyn spent her early years.

Dating back to the 13th century, Hever Castle was once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and Mother of Elizabeth I. It formed the unlikely backdrop to a sequence of tumultuous events that changed the course of Britain’s history, monarchy and religion.

It currently has an exhibition called Catherine & Anne: Queens, Rivals, Mothers.

Travelling by train from central London to Edenbridge Town station on our Uckfield and East Grinstead to Oxted line is 70% less polluting than taking a car.

Please check with the venue for opening times and directions from the railway station.
