The traditional Annual Christmas celebration at Arundel station took place on 11th December, with the Aldingbourne Trust Watering and Planting Team enjoying mince pies, Christmas cakes and chocolates, before having a group photo by the tree which they had decorated at the start of the month.
Arundel Town Councillor Jo Riley, and clerk of the council, Carolyn Baynes joined the party, and Cllr Riley made a short thank you speech to the team, as he was bowled over with the hard work they all put in to enhance Arundel station and others along the Arun Valley Line.
Cllr Riley also thanked Laura, who works in the ticket office, for her dedication to Arundel station, and his words provoked a round of applause.
Rowena Tyler, Arun Valley Line Officer said ‘It’s a privilege and a pleasure to be involve with the Aldingbourne Trust Planting Team. This is the third year I have joined them for their Christmas celebration at Arundel station. Arundel Town Council is an approved station partner, so it was really nice of Councillor Riley and the clerk to come and meet the people who brighten up the stations on the Arun Valley Line and to thank them.’
