Over 500 young people across Arundel, as far as Bury and Barnham, have been sowing seeds for pollinators, as part of the Arundel Wildflower Project 2021.  This work has been sponsored and funded by Arundel Historic Tours. working under the umbrella of the wider Bee Project.

Working with a variety of organisations and residents, the aim is for Arundel to be declared ‘The UK’s First Bee Friendly Town’.  Funders for the wider project include Arundel Town Council and South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA).

Arundel Railway station, which is actually located in the parish of Lyminster & Crossbush, will benefit from the Bee Planting, and seed sowing will begin later this month at the station.

Both Arundel Town Council and Lyminster & Crossbush Parish Council are station partners and residents and visitors to the area will enjoy seeing the results of the wildflower planting as they arrive by train to Arundel station.
